Why I built NoCut

My feed kept showing sellers doing the same math: a good month on Gumroad, and 10% plus 50 cents a sale gone.

Selling a file is not hard. Stripe already moves the money. So I built the simple version: you pay a flat $9, the money goes to your Stripe, and nobody takes a cut.

Questions

Is it really 0%?
Yes. You pay $9 a month and NoCut takes nothing from your sales. Stripe charges its normal card fee, which you also pay on Gumroad.
Where does the buyer’s money go?
Straight into your own Stripe account. NoCut never holds it, so there is nothing to withdraw and no payout delay from us.
What about VAT and sales tax?
Gumroad is the merchant of record and handles tax for you. On NoCut you are the seller, like on your own Stripe. You can switch on Stripe Tax in your Stripe dashboard to collect it.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes. You connect the Stripe account you have, or create one on the way. See where Stripe works.
Does NoCut bring me buyers?
No. There is no marketplace. NoCut is for people who sell to their own audience: your X, your newsletter, your YouTube.
How is the calculator worked out?
It uses Gumroad's published fees: 10% + $0.50 per direct sale, 5% + $0.50 once a month passes $20,000, and 30% on Discover sales. See their fees page.
When does it open?
Soon. Join the waitlist and you get one email the day it opens.
